1 cup brown lentils.

2 cups chard’s leaves and stalks, chopped.

1/2 cup lemon juice.

1/2 cup vegetable oil.

8 cups chicken broth or water (to taste)

1 tablespoon tomato paste.

1 onion, chopped.

1 tablespoon garlic, crushed.

1 bunch fresh coriander, chopped.

1 potato , chopped.

1 teaspoon dried coriander.



Parboil lentils over medium heat with chicken broth or water (to taste).

Add chard and cook with it. heat oil in a saucepan and fry onion, garlic, fresh coriander,chopped potato, and dried coriander over it.

Add the mixture to the lentils then add lemon juice and salt (add water if necessary). Serve soup hot.
