Katayef with Pistachio

  • • 12 slices of big sized katayef.
  • • 6 cups of oil for frying.
  • • 3 cups of syrup.
  • 300 g of pistachio
  • • Coconut.
  • • Cinnamon


Step 1

• Mince the pistachio somehow coarsely.

Step 2

• Put it in the oven's tray under the gas grilling machine that is in the top to toast the pistachio (this procedure is important because it gives to the pistachio the delicious taste).

Step 3

• Watch out for the pistachio because it becomes roasted quickly, and after toasting it well, mix it with coconut, cinnamon, 2 spoons of sugar and 2 spoons of syrup and stir well all together until they become solid (pour more syrup if needed).

Step 4

• Then, fill normal kataief pieces with the mix and fry them in with oil and then sweet them with syrup or stuff birdy kataief (kind of kataief) in them and irrigate them with syrup.
