1 kg cherries, cleaned and drained.

4 1/4 kg sugar.

2 1/2 small cups water.

2 tablespoons lemon juice.


Remove the stones and stems from cherries, then place it in a pot.

Add sugar and water then heat until boil.

Add lemon juice; remove the foam from sauce’s surface when it appears. Boil until the sauce be thicker, then remove from flame.

Cool it then pour it in small bottles and tightly close them.
